This is the Dead Of Winter A Crossroads Board Game. A Crossroads Game, this is the first game in the series and puts 2-5 players in a very small and weakened colony of survivors.

In this world most of humanity is either dead or a diseased and flesh-craving monster. Each player leads a faction of survivors with dozens of different characters.

Dead of Winter is what's called a meta-cooperative psychological survival game. This means that the players are working together toward one common goal. However, for each individual player to achieve victory, he or she must also complete his personal secret objective.

This secret objective could relate to a psychological tick that's fairly harmless to most others in the colony, or it could be a dangerous obsession that could put the main objective at risk. It could be a desire for sabotage of the main mission, or worst of all a vengeance against the colony itself. So cool!

Each game could end with all of the players winning, some players winning and some losing, or all of the players losing.

You'll want to work toward the group's goal, but you also don't want to get walked all over by a loudmouth that's looking out only for his own interests!

Dead of Winter is an a story-centric game about surviving through a harsh winter in an apocalyptic world.

All of the survivors are all dealing with their own psychological problems and goals, but must still find a way to work together to fight off external threats, resolve crises, find food and supplies and keep the colony's morale up and moving forward.

Dead of Winter will have players making frequent, difficult, heavily- thematic, wildly-varying decisions, that often have them deciding between what is best for the colony and what is best for themselves.
